The FinxS© Sports Capacity Assessment Tool may not get you to the top, but it is designed to help you be the best athlete you can be. Are you using your greatest strengths to the fullest? Have you looked at all possible ways to reach the top?
The Tool provides another perspective of yourself as an athlete. It looks at the possible competences you may not have considered to be your special strengths or you've never considered them to be so critical to your success. It also helps you to understand when those strengths can become weaknesses if you misuse them.
Even the best athletes encounter barriers reaching for the top. This report identify the sports competences which are most challenging for you. Knowing your potential challenges enables to you make better decisions; which key paths should you take? Remember, pay attention to your challenging competences to ensure they do not impede your ascent to the top.
What are the Sports Competences?
The FinxS© Sports Capacity Assessment Tool identifies 18 critical sports competences. By definition, none of the competences is better than another. Each one can be your pathway to the top. You do not need to address all 18 competences. It is up to you to decide what ones to focus on.
Based on our experience, your most natural competences are the ones you can most easily gain competitive advantage. Your report provides you with deeper insight on your competence scores; what they mean and how you could approach them.

There is the individual report which focuses on the 18 sports competences. In addition, the report includes:
- Impact of each competence on athletic performance
- How to best approach and coach athlete with their unique sports competences
- Breaks-down of every competence into three sub-competences to provide a deeper understanding on how to best coach the athlete
- Sports Index – How well the athlete is aware of their strengths and how strong those strengths are
- Training Index – How strong the athlete considers the competences mostly relating to training environment are
- Competition Index – How strong the athlete considers the competences mostly relating to competition environment are
Suite of tools: Coach
There is also a coach's report. Coaches have a clearer plan on how to coach their athlete and team. There are specific tips and questions on how to manage and leverage each competence. The Coach’s report also allows the comparison of the results with other athletes in the same sport.The report includes:
- How to best approach and coach athlete with their unique sports competences
- Sports Index – How well the athlete is aware of their strengths and how strong those strengths are
- Training Index – How strong the athlete considers the competences mostly relating to training environment are

The Team Report provides data is a variety of way to best fit the needs of the coach and team. You can view team members focusing specifically on one or a few competences.
